The Bayside Business Network (BBN) is a platform to showcase excellence in business, innovation and entrepreneurship. The Network facilitates exceptional business savvy networking through a range of events, of which you can be part of.

Bayside City Council invites you to join BBN as a sponsor and promote your brand at more than forty Bayside Business Network events throughout 2010 and be exposed through the marketing of the network to its extensive database of businesses.

Bayside City Council launched the BBN in 2004 to recognise and embrace marketing and promotion through networking. Our goal is to draw attention to the outstanding examples of business education, research and innovation across Bayside and to assist businesses to progress.

As a sponsor of the Bayside Business Network you can:

  • Contribute to networking initiatives that impact on the local business community.
  • Assist in promoting Bayside’s business strengths and successful partnerships between government and the business industry.
  • Have the opportunity to market your company alongside other successful Bayside innovators and entrepreneurs

A wide range of partnering and sponsorship arrangements are available, all of which can be tailored to suit the requirement of individual organisations. Packages are flexibly structured to encourage any sized business to take up the offer.

About the Bayside Business Network Events and Marketing

The Bayside Business Network offers an exceptional program of annual events that create attention and discussion on a range of current business issues from events and seminars to supported rapid response advertising and building customer relationships / marketing through the web.


2010 BBN program of events

Business Breakfast Series - three events in March, June and September

  • The Breakfast Business Series presents high profile speakers and attracts a broad spectrum of businesses with an average of up to 400 attendees.

Women’s Network Luncheons – three events per year in April, July and October

  • 220 professionals from a diverse demographic attend these functions that are continually increasing in popularity each year with registrations growing rapidly. All luncheons in 2009 were sold out prior to the event.

Bayside Business Seminar Series –18 events (two per month from March to November)

  • 40 -60 professionals attend each seminar gaining an insight into the latest in business thinking delivered by active BBN members.

Networking Evenings – nine informal events held monthly from March to November

  • 40 to 50 like-minded local business people meet with other BBN members and network with the local business community in a relaxed setting.
  • Sponsors are welcome to forward proposals to host an industry specific network event. In 2009 several of these were conducted and were very successful.

Website – 22,000 hits per month on www.baysidebusiness.com.au

  • Your sponsorship will allow you to cross promote – directing users back to your site via the click of a button from the Bayside Business Network website

Email blasts – Thousands of direct emails to members and non members.

  • BBN sponsors are listed on a sponsor’s recognition banner that is attached on all electronic and printed communications which are distributed on at least a fortnightly basis to a vast database.

Local newspaper advertising – minimum 20 advertisements per year

  • The BBN communications campaign includes a minimum of 20 half or full page local newspaper advertisements in Melbourne Weekly Bayside with readership of 73,000. Other Fairfax papers such as Melbourne Weekly and the Emerald Hill Times often publish BBN advertisements.
